Technical feature
Eccentric tip at 0°
A needle tip is eccentric if it is not located exactly in the center of the needle radius, but rather at a specific position on the outer radius of the needle. Depending on the needle type, the eccentric tips fulfill different functions.
Piston area at 270°
Sewing machine needles with a shank have one or more flattened sides of the shank. These flattened sides serve to radially position the sewing machine needle in the needle bar. This ensures that the needle is positioned at exactly the same predetermined angle to the threading direction after each needle change. This guarantees a consistent needle position relative to the hook.
